The show, "Designing with the Stars," attracted numerous callers wanting to know how to improve their home décor based on their astrological Sun sign. During the program, Fontana and Nordhaus-Bike discussed current astrological energies and focused on home design for the fall, as the Sun moves through the autumn signs of Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius.

"Anne has the design chops, the art and creative background, but she's also an astrologer," said Fontana during the show. "I'm a big believer in this other level, this unseen level of design."

Anne Nordhaus-Bike, an artist and astrologer in Chicago, has just launched her astrology-art roundtables, organized through SideTour. Artist-astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike returned as guest speaker at the Women Engaged and Educated (WEE) Astrology 2013 event held Thursday, September 12, at Urban Grille in Geneva, Illinois. WEE is a women’s group hosted by Morgan Stanley.

The evening began with a brief market and economic update by Jim Lublow of Goldman Sachs. Afterward, Anne spoke on “Astrology 2013: The Year of Feeling and Great Opportunity for Women.”

Anne shared current astrology, why our times are more stressful than usual, our era’s opportunities, and tips for using astrology and feelings creatively and positively. She also shared many of her artworks and provided suggestions on how to use art to maintain positive feelings and uplifting emotions regardless of astrological and other stresses.

“We absolutely loved your presentation,” said one of the event’s organizers afterward. Attendees also enjoyed the evening tremendously, with many staying long afterward to chat about the various topics Anne covered. Artist and astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike‘s Living in Harmony newsletter has won an Award of Excellence from Communications Concepts in the Newsletters-Email category in the organization’s Apex 2013 competition. The publication was honored for the September-October 2012 edition, which covered the Libra time of year.

“Being a Libra myself, it’s particularly gratifying that our Libra 2012 edition of the Living in Harmony newsletter received a prestigious Award of Excellence in this international competition,” Anne said. "And as an artist, this is such wonderful recognition because that newsletter (like all the newsletters in our first year of Living in Harmony) includes my watercolor painting for Libra as well as one of my original paintings and one of my original photographs chosen specifically to harmonize with the Libra energies at that time of year."

Communications Concepts is a journalism and communications think tank based outside Washington, DC, in Springfield, VA. This year’s Apex competition was the 25th annual.
