Taken on an overcast afternoon in mid-May, when the Sun was in nature-loving Taurus, this photograph celebrates the Bull's associations with the physical world, abundance, comfort, and beauty. Ruled by the planet Venus, named for the ancient Roman goddess of love and beauty, Taurus seeks balance and harmony. In this photograph, this urge toward harmony can be seen in the combination of purple and yellow tulips: on the color wheel, purple and yellow sit opposite each other, but here they combine in a sea of living loveliness and visual balance.
